The Ultimate 30 Under 30 Forbes List of 2025

Every year, Forbes publishes the 30 under 30 list. This list recognizes some of the 30 most notable individuals under 30 years old in several categories, ranging from sports, social media, AI, healthcare, and many other categories.

This is one of the most prestigious lists in the world, given that it grants people global reach of their innovations, as well as prestige and visibility from being published in the magazine.

Before starting with the list, however, it is worth saying that our picks are based on the North American version of the list. Now, without further a due, here are some of our picks for the ultimate under-30 list.

Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark's top ten plays of the 2023-2024 season | CBB on FOX

At 22-years-old, Ms. Clark was the first pick in 2024’s WNBA draft, and her team, the Indiana Fever to their first playoff appearance in eight years. Clark also broke the WNBA’s single-season assist record and earned the Rookie of the Year award.

Jayson Tatum

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has without any doubts become one of the faces of the NBA. The 26-year-old has earned five All-Star-Selections since 2017, and in 2022 he signed a five-year deal with the Celtics that will see him earn $163 million. He was also a key part of Boston’s championship team in 2024.

Social Media and Media

Drew Afualo

29-year-old Drew Afualo ranked first in the social media category of Forbe’s 30 under 30 for 24. Afualo is known for her women-focused content on TikTok and earned close to $2.9 million over the last year. The social media star currently has a nine million-strong audience, which is mostly made up of women under 35, and is currently sponsored by a variety of companies like Spotify, and the NBA.

Bobbi Althoff

The Really Good Podcast | Tyga: “It’s random… it’s awkward”

Bobbi Althoff, 27, took the online podcast scene by storm and found success by doing comedy online. She currently has 13 million followers on social media, and her podcast, “The Really Good Podcast”, has featured stars like Drake, and Jason Derulo.

AI

Pika, Cofounded by Demi Guo and Chenlin Meng

In 2023, Pika founders Demi Guo and Chenlin Meng dropped out of Stanford University with one goal in mind: Making AI video generators more accessible. The pair found that AI video generators were too difficult to use, and they founded Pika, an app that allows five million users to produce and modify AI-generated videos in a variety of ways. Pitchbook currently values Pika at $470 million.

Healthcare

Valar Labs, cofounded by Anirudh Joshi, Viswesh Krishna, Damir Vrabac

Finding the right cancer treatment can be difficult because it depends on tumor specifics that doctors can’t always identify. To address this, Joshi and cofounders Damir Vrabac, 28, and Viswesh Krishna, 23, created Valar Labs in Palo Alto, California. The company uses AI to analyze bladder cancer tumor images and recommend treatments.

Valar has raised $26 million in funding and its first AI tool, Vesta, accurately predicts treatment effectiveness. Vesta is now available at 20 hospitals nationwide, with insurance coverage. Joshi believes Valar could become “the next billion-dollar company in cancer” and is working on tests for other cancers, like pancreatic and ovarian.

Arman Jaffer

Beyond Hype: The AI Infused Classroom in Five Years with Brisk Teaching | ASU+GSV SHOW

26-year-old Arman Jaffer essentially created a Swiss Army Knife for teachers. Brisk Teaching uses AI to create lesson plans, assist teachers with report cards, and even create pop quizzes for students. The tool was launched in 2023 and is currently being used by almost 700,000 teachers around the world. Jaffer’s start-up has raised $6.9 million in funds and promises to further assist teachers in the future.

Shaboozey

Shaboozey, 29, whose hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination. The track, about partying and whiskey, has been streamed nearly 2 billion times, generating over $10 million in earnings.

Shaboozey’s career took off when he blended his Nigerian roots with his Virginia upbringing, merging country and hip-hop. Now, he’s expanding from artist to entrepreneur, running his label, American Dogwood, and securing sponsorship deals, including a partnership with Jack Daniel’s.

Chapell Roan

LGBT icon, Chappell Roan, 26, was the pop star of the year for many critics and fans. After releasing her debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” in 2023, songs like “HOT TO GO!,” “Red Wine Supernova” and the hit single “Good Luck Babe” took social media apps and music charts by storm. Her work on this record has now earned her six Grammy nominations.

Art

Freja, founded by Jenny Lei

After earning a master’s in information science from Cornell, Lei, 28, planned to pursue consulting but struggled with confidence at job interviews due to a lack of accessories that suited her. In 2019, she designed her dream work tote, despite having no formal design training.

In 2020, Lei launched her brand, Freja, with 300 bags. Her designs focus on chic, minimalist bags ranging from $100 to $550, Freja has expanded to include purses and travel bags. Her bags have been picked up by celebrities like Hailey Beiber, and posted earnings of $5.3 million in 2023 with profits expected to double in 2024.

Retail and E-Commerce

Sonia Yang, Cofounder of Treet

Treet, founded by Yang in 2021, helps brands cut waste and tap into the $43 billion used clothing market by setting up sites for customers to buy pre-owned items directly from retailers. Over 200 companies, including Girlfriend Collective and Tecovas, use Treet to manage their resale programs. Treet charges a 10% to 20% commission on each sale but holds no inventory, partnering with logistics providers as needed. The startup has raised $16.4 million to date.

Finance

Spade, founded by Cooper Hart and Oban MacTavish

Founded three years ago, Spade uses data partnerships, AI, and human review to build databases with detailed information on tens of millions of businesses, helping banks combat the $36 billion global card fraud problem. Based in New York City, the 18-person startup processes over $1 billion in monthly transactions for clients like Stripe and Corpay and has raised $16 million to date.

Evelyn Duan
Duan, a vice president at Sixth Street Partners, helps manage the firm’s $75 billion in assets. Based in Austin, she has played a key role in $500 million worth of investments in billion-dollar software companies like Bloomreach, SnapLogic, and Heap.

Jacob Elordi

Elordi, 27, is best known for his breakout role as Nate Jacobs on HBO’s “Euphoria” and leading roles in “Saltburn” and “Priscilla” both in 2023. He hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 2024 and is set to star as Frankenstein’s Monster in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming adaptation of “Frankenstein,” and has quickly become a new Hollywood staple, along with the likes of Timothee Chalamet.

Elordi first gained recognition in 2018 with Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth” and its sequels. His work has earned him nominations for AACTA Awards, BAFTA Film Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.

Kathryn Newton

Newton has become a Gen Z horror icon, starring in hits like “Freaky” (2020), “Abigail” (2023), and “Lisa Frankenstein” (2024), earning an estimated $2 million this year through acting and brand deals. Her breakout came with “Paranormal Activity 4.”

Off-screen, Newton, 27, is a skilled golfer with a better-than-scratch handicap. She’s turned her passion into business, partnering with Ralph Lauren as the face of its women’s golf line and serving as an ambassador for youth golf initiatives like First Tee and the R&A.

Games and Food and Drink in the 30 Under 30 list

Peggy Wang, Cofounder of EGO

Peggy Wang and Vishnu Hari, 33, cofounded Ego in early 2023. The startup, now a seven-person team, graduated from Y Combinator in April and has raised $7.5 million to develop a sandbox-style simulation game.

 

Ego’s engine aims to let players create custom games like renowned titles such as “The Sims” or “Minecraft” without coding, using text prompts similar to ChatGPT. Even more innovative, its AI-powered characters can rewrite their programming in real time for endless unique experiences.

Food and Drink in the 30 under 30 Forbes list

Smackin’, cofounded by Cole Schaefer and Brian Waddick 

Starting in their dorm in 2017, Schaefer and Waddick created sunflower seeds in bold flavors like cinnamon churro and backyard BBQ, testing them on classmates.

Encouraged by campus buzz, they raised $60,000 to launch the brand. This year, Smackin’ expects $20 million in revenue, up from $2 million last year, with products now in Walmart, Dick’s, and 7-Eleven. Schaefer credits their 700,000 Gen Z social media followers for driving growth.
